Happily Ever After! With Seed Beads.

Hello Everyone!  I hope you are having a nice day.  We are off to a good start over here. The oldest kids are out the door and the little ones are just waking up and having breakfast. So we are off to a good start. =)

Last night I was looking through my stash and saw that I hadn't used any seed beads in awhile and decided they would be just the right touch to embellish the wedding dress on  my "Happily Ever After" card. Below is a picture and tutorial.  Have a great day!

Thank You Sew Much!

Good morning everyone!  As an avid sewer, I thought it would be fun to mix my love for sewing and paper crafting into one, to make this cute card. Please enjoy the picture and tutorial below.  The tutorial is actually quite entertaining as you can hear my children squabbling in the background...I can't wait to tell them they are famous!  Hopefully they will be embarrassed enough to show more love for each other...we'll see.  =)

Butterfly Kisses Birthday Card!

Happy Tuesday! I hope everyone has gotten over the "Monday blues". Speaking of blue...I love putting blue and brown together.  It is so soothing to me! I was looking through my cricut cartridges looking for some inspiration and saw that I hadn't used my Sentimentals cartridge in awhile.  Sentimentals has such beautiful images that helped to inspire this butterfly birthday card design. See the photo and tutorial below. =)

Loving Us - Card

I am so relieved to see the roads clearing of snow.  The snow is so beautiful but after a week of been couped up, it is nice to get back to a regular routine.  Although being snowed in did give me some time to get caught up on some orders for my business and make some fun projects to show you.  Here is one of the cards I worked on.  I love the designing process.  Playing with color, texture, lines etc. and watching my ideas come to life is very exciting.  This card I thought would be fun for Valentine's Day, an anniversary, or a just because card.  Picture and tutorial below.  Have a great Saturday!

Special Delivery - A card to welcome a new baby!

I thought it would be fun to make some cards for some of my friends who are expecting new babies this year.  I love pink and green together, it looks especially sweet on this card, which would also make a cute birth announcement. Now I will have to try it in blue and green.  =)

Below is a picture and a tutorial.

Valentine Goodie Basket

This morning it was so nice to sleep-in.  I love when the kids have late start days.

Here is a fun idea.  Try making this Valentine Goodie Basket.  It is roomy so there is plenty of space for some crinkly paper, colored raffia or curly ribbon.  I think I will fill mine with some heart shaped sugar cookies.  Below is a photo and tutorial.

Note Card Holder With Monogrammed Note Cards

I hope everyone is have a good week so far.  I dreamt last night that I was teaching a painting class..not unusual for me, as I teach so many.  During the class I showed everyone how to: make a gift box, buy milk, take down the external Christmas lights, and  plan a menu for two weeks.  Do you think I have a few things I need to do today?  =) Bring it on! Please enjoy the following project.
Monogrammed items are all the rage right now.  Try making this one. A fun note card holder with three monogrammed note cards inside. Fun for a Birthday Gift, Mother's Day or Just Because. See the pictures and tutorial below. Have a great weekend everyone!

Elegant Valentine - with tutorial

I love giving and receiving handmade Valentine cards!  There is just something special about knowing that not only are they sent with love but a little of time also went into them.  Below is a picture, and  tutorial. The measurements and scoring lines for this elegant tri-fold Valentine are in the video. I don't know who orginally came up with the idea of a tri-fold but they sure are cute, and add an upgrade to the simple half fold.
Below is my first video and I am pretty happy with it-for a first try.  Please pardon a few seconds at the beginning of blurriness and at don't forget to slip in one last piece of ribbon and tie a knot as you will notice I forgot to at the end. Thanks for watching and please leave a comment.  =)
